Welcome to MZEK Car Rental. By using our website and services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before making a reservation.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website, making a booking, or using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, you should not use our services.

2. Rental Requirements

To rent a vehicle from MZEK Car Rental, you must:

• Be at least 23 years of age (age requirements may vary for certain vehicle categories).
• Hold a valid driving license (Malaysian or International) that has been valid for at least 1 year.
• Present a valid identity card (MyKad) or passport for foreigners.
• Provide a valid credit card for the security deposit.
• Be financially responsible for all rental charges and any damages incurred.

3. Booking and Reservations

• All bookings are subject to vehicle availability.
• A confirmed booking requires a deposit (minimum RM 150) which will be processed at the time of booking.
• The remaining rental fee must be paid at the time of vehicle pick-up.
• You may cancel or modify your booking subject to our cancellation policy.

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy

• Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the pickup time: Full refund of deposit.
• Cancellations made less than 48 hours before pickup: 50% refund of deposit.
• No-show or cancellation on the day of pickup: Deposit is non-refundable.
• Refunds will be processed within 5-7 business days.

5. Vehicle Pickup and Return

• Pickup and return must be at the specified locations and times as per your booking.
• Late returns are subject to additional charges at the daily rental rate.
• The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as at pickup, or you will be charged for refueling.
• The vehicle must be returned in clean condition. Excessive dirt may incur cleaning fees.

6. Insurance and Liability

• All vehicles are covered by comprehensive insurance with an excess amount (deductible) that applies in case of damage.
• You may reduce the excess amount by purchasing a liability reduction option at the time of booking.
• You are responsible for all damages, theft, or loss of the vehicle during the rental period, subject to the insurance terms.
• Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, unauthorized use, or violation of traffic laws will void the insurance coverage.

7. Driver Obligations

• You must drive safely and in compliance with all Malaysian traffic laws.
• You must not allow unauthorized persons to drive the vehicle.
• You must not use the vehicle for illegal activities, racing, or off-road driving (unless permitted).
• You must report any accidents or mechanical issues to MZEK immediately.

8. Fees and Charges

In addition to the rental fee, the following charges may apply:

• Security deposit (refundable after vehicle return in good condition).
• Late return fee.
• Cleaning fee for excessive dirt.
• Fuel refill charge.
• Traffic fines and parking tickets incurred during the rental period.
• Administrative fees for processing claims or violations.

9. Vehicle Maintenance and Damage

• You are responsible for checking the vehicle's condition at pickup and reporting any pre-existing damage.
• You must perform routine checks (tyre pressure, fluid levels, lights) as recommended.
• Any damage to the vehicle during the rental period will be your responsibility, subject to insurance coverage.
• You must not attempt to repair the vehicle yourself without prior authorization.

10. Termination of Rental

We reserve the right to terminate your rental early without refund if you:

• Breach any of these terms and conditions.
• Provide false information during booking.
• Drive recklessly or violate traffic laws.
• Use the vehicle for unauthorized purposes.

11. Privacy and Data Protection

Your personal information will be collected and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms & Conditions.

12. Limitation of Liability

MZEK Car Rental shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services, including but not limited to lost time, inconvenience, or travel delays. Our total liability shall not exceed the total rental fees paid by you.

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, strikes, or government actions.
